Tribute to John Lennon

On the 8th of December 1980, John Lennon was murdered, shot by a crazed ‘fan’ in New York City. As is perhaps compulsory in some quarters on the anniversaries of his birth and death, if not boldly unoriginal, listen to his anthemic ‘Imagine’… and, well, just imagine.

Thirty years after the death of John Lennon, its ideas and efforts are still very alive, perhaps more than ever. Messages of its songs are better than every Sunday church mass, better than a false promises of politicians and better than a utopian systems of control and greed.
John Lennon is one of the few artists who could run the world and bring peace on Earth only with their songs, if people would be willing to accept these messages, of course.

In the song “Imagine”, John Lennon expressed his hope for the positive change and the dissolution of the herd with the phrase

“You may say that I’m a Dreamer
But I’m not the only one
Someday I hope you’ll join us
And the world will be as one “

And I think that we are trapped in a time where these changes are more necessary than ever before. We know what is wrong with the system and our society, a lot of artists and wise men are trying to open our eyes and finally Earth itself is trying to wake us up that we’ll at least be awaken at her funeral. But why we’re still so blind? What is still needed for the people to began to listen and think about all the messages and calls which they hear?

Perhaps in the end it will all be like in some low-budget action movie. Everybody knows what is wrong, everyone knows what to do, but nobody does nothing. In the end, when it is too late, they regret that they have not made changes before.
But you are the rulers of your life! You decide what happens to you, despite all the worms and bricks in the system that want to put you in the herd! Do not let them! You should rather turn the speakers on and listen to these messages in all these songs! And follow these messages. These are not only songs, these are the new Bibles!

And in memory of John Lennon I made my version of his song “Working class hero”. I hope I didn’t do it injustice.
Do not be a brick in the Wall! There’s no time to imagine anymore! Tear down your Wall now!
